Ebri Knight was looking for the festive and forceful atmosphere that other international folk punk groups had already developed, such as Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly or The Pogues. Even so, a good part of his music is composed from melodies of Irish Celtic music. And from the beginning, the group took melodies typical of its people, with traditional instruments and the voices of the traditional music of Catalonia. Initially, the group sought to mix the sounds of Celtic music with completely different and estranged styles, such as rock and punk. The name Ebri Knight is a play on words that combines the Catalan pronunciation of "every night" ("every night" in English ) with the medieval symbolism of the knight (Knight), plus the place where traditional Celtic music is born: the taverns ( Ebri). At first the group appears with the name of Nota Negra (anagram of Argentona ), and later, after the change of some components, the band takes its current name.
